Squatting posture: a woman's seat

The squatting posture - one of the postures of the Divine Mother invokes the cosmic memory of the maternal instinct. (...) Women since the beginning of time have effortlessly assumed the squatting posture to perform their daily tasks and rituals. This practice has for the most part been abandoned by modern women.
When we move into squatting posture, we inhale the breath of the earth into us. As women, our most powerful shakti energies collect below our belly. It is important to receive and revive our apana breath by absorbing the earth's magnetic forces through nasal inhalation. Since no other posture can rejuvenate us in this way, try to squat whenever possible!
Squatting enables us to receive the earth's energies through our lower aperture. The magnetic force of the earth draws the apana, or descending air, downward, bringing it into a state of fullness. As a result, a deep warmth is fueled in the belly, keeping the tissues and organs of the lower body in harmony with the earth's vibrations. When the apana air is recharged in this natural way, it strengthens and moves prana throughout the entire body.
